Face coverings on public transport

14th June 2020

From June 15th 2020, the government made wearing face coverings compulsory on all public transport.

All passengers must wear a face covering when making any journey and this is a condition of travelling with us. Children under 11, passengers with disabilities or those that suffer with breathing difficulties are exempt from wearing a cover.

Our drivers will not be enforcing this, however, they will be advising passengers what is required.

We have been informed that the Police are travelling in groups in areas and checking buses. If you refuse to wear a face covering, you risk being fined by Police or the British Transport Police £100 (which can be reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days).

Should you be exempt, we have a simple card design you can print this at home and carry with you.
